Project 1

Task

For this project, we were required to produce 8 different A5 sketches to practice the different forms of sketching and rendering. We had to sketch body parts/figures/nature, object projection, geometric projection, a city, one point perspective of an area in Taylor's University, two point perspective of an area in Taylor's University, details in Taylor's University and trace a picture of a building using free hand.

Aim


This project is to identify a personal and expressive response to visual simulation. Besides that, this project is also to apply basic principles and elements of design and drawing as a language to visualize and to communicate ideas.

Reflection

After the completion of this project, I was able to recognize my potential for creativity, self-expression and visual awareness. Other than that, I was also able to identify the fundamental principles, elements and techniques in sketching, drawing, design process and presentation skills.

Project 2

Task

Project 2 is separate into part A & B, a site was given to us to study on. Project 2A is more to introducing and guiding the way to illustrate orthographic drawings and applying basic drawing conventions and representation while project 2B aims to introduce and guide the students to illustrate Bubble Diagrams and Diagrammatic Analysis through observation and drawings of the site given in Project 2A.

The objective of this project is to apply basic principles and elements of design and drawing as a language to visualize and to communicate ideas. This project also

 demonstrates observation and visualization skills in a variety of ways depending on the area of specialization being pursued with an emphasis on the process of drawing.

Reflection

After completing this assignment, I was able to identify the fundamental principles, elements and techniques in sketching, drawing, design process and presentation skills. Thus, I can demonstrate observation skills and be able to record, organize, interpret and describe a variety of issues via visual communications effectively. I can also manipulate variety of media and techniques to visualize ideas leading to a finish product. I was able to apply drawing as a means of communication in order to express two dimensional and three dimensional ideas.

Task

The objective of this project is to demonstrate observation and visualization skills in a variety of ways depending on the area of specialization being pursued with an emphasis on the process of drawing. Project 4

Task

The task is for the students to propose a wall installation or a feature wall at the given site in Project 2 and Project 3. Through the site analysis study, students will then find a solution or ideas to create a suitable functional wall installation. Students will then prepare a presentation boards and models to express their ideas.
